Anime Bonanza 2011 Information
Anime Bonanza 2011
August 6, 2011
Ramada Reno Hotel & CasinoReno, NV
Anime Convention with Steampunk programming
Anime Bonanza is the brainchild of Lisa Monroe, founder and host of Anime St. George; an anime convention held annually in beautiful and scenic Southern Utah. Partnered with the Ramada Reno Hotel and Casino, the Anime SG team is happy to bring to Reno an anime convention with a one-of-a-kind mix of Old West themes from 1800's America alongside the very popular Anime and Manga genres of Japanese pop culture.
Anime Bonanza's name draws inspiration from NBC's hit western series Bonanza. The show's storyline took place in the Reno and Carson City area and its characters often visited those cities. Take that theme, mix it in a giant pot with anime in general, bake for three hours, sprinkle steampunk to taste and you have a cracktastic pairing that has never been seen before.
