MangaNEXT 2007 announces Kensuke Okabayashi as first guest

MangaNEXT is proud to announce Kensuke Okabayashi as a guest for 2007. Okabayashi is a professional artist, whose work can be found in a large range of venues, including comic books, graphic novels and advertising story boards. Okabayashi is also the author and illustrator of the book Manga for Dummies.

A graduate of the School of Visual Arts, Okabayashi is the founder of Piggy Bank studios, located in Jersey City, NJ. He also teaches classes at the Educational Alliance Art School in New York City. MangaNEXT is very excited to welcome Okabayashi to our 2007 event.

MangaNEXT will be held on October 5-7, 2007 at the Crowne Plaza, Meadowlands, just 5 miles from New York City. Come out to meet artists, visit our Artist Alley, take part in workshops and panels, take advantage of our Manga Library, and much, much more.

Universal Animation (http://www.universalanimation.org), the non-profit group that organizes MangaNEXT is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the appreciation of Anime and Manga in the United States. Founded in 2002 in NYC, Universal Animation is responsible for planning AnimeNEXT, which is held annually in the Tristate (NY/NJ/CT) area. Universal Animation is an independent organization with no affiliation to any commercial entities.
