Animaritime announces special events for hotel guests
Moncton, NB., Dec. 17 -- As part of its ongoing transfer to its new venue, Animaritime, Atlantic Canada's only anime and gaming convention, has announced that at the 2007 convention, they will be hosting events available only to attendees staying at the Ramada Plaza. The events that are currently set to be hotel-only are a pool party, an early morning brunch, and after the convention closes its doors, a game of laser tag at the Crystal Palace amusement park.
"These events will help our attendees meet each other, and will promote friendships that will last much longer than the convention itself. By making them hotel-only, we feel that the attendees will be more willing to spark new friendships, instead of sticking with old ones. The idea is that people are more likely to make friends, if they can visit later that night," said William Belanger, Animaritime 2007's venue coordinator.
Animaritime is the Maritimes' only anime and gaming convention. Animaritime 2007 will be the fourth annual event, and is expected to be the biggest yet. With the announcement of the move to Moncton, the conventions organizers expect a much larger increase in attendance than seen in previous years. Some of the events planned for Animaritime 2007 are: guest panels, video showings, gaming rooms, RPGs, TCGs, lectures, demos, workshops, dealers room and artist's alley.
