Pacific Media Expo's Anime Nightclub roasts voice actor Richard Epcar

LOS ANGELES, CA-- Pacific Media Expo's groundbreaking Anime Nightclub program returns for its second year as a major Friday night feature of the annual Asian-Pacific Pop Culture convention. Scheduled for November 11, 2011, this unique three hour program of intimate and interactive events culminates in the PMX Charity Roast of Richard Epcar, a veteran voice actor who has performed over 300 roles in anime, cartoons, films, games, and television.

"At its heart, Anime Nightclub is about three hours of offbeat and uncensored fun, with a raging pack of veteran voice actors and a cash bar on hand to loosen things up," said Todd Whitesel, co-Founder of Pacific Media Expo and creator of the Anime Nightclub program. "These guys are phenomenal live entertainers, but the recording booth and the format of convention appearances prevent many fans from being able to see that. I wanted to do something that was as much about them having fun entertaining each other, as it was about performing for an audience."

Leading off the program is a presentation by Harmony Gold, creators of the breakthrough animated series Robotech that gave Mr. Epcar his start in voice acting, followed by a Q&A session and opportunity to request autographs from the voice actors present. The namesake middle hour, subtitled "Voice Actors Uncensored," invites an unpredictable and uproarious conversation between the dais of Roast participants and their audience.

Anime Nightclub is a feature of Pacific Media Expo and not a standalone event. Attendees will need to register for the convention and purchase a badge valid for Friday. Friday-only badges retail for $20, and an automatic 20% discount is applied when five or more people register together online. Attendees can get an additional $5 off per person by entering a coupon code at the start of registration, so $11/person is possible with both discounts. One such coupon code may be found on the Facebook Event Page http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=290088927681396

Due to mature content and limited seating, adult-verified wristbands will be required from 8pm-10pm, and Roast tickets will be required from 9pm-10pm. There is no additional charge for these events, but attendees are encouraged to make a donation to the Roastee's Charity while reserving their Roast tickets online with PMX event ticket registration. The name of the Charity will be announced shortly.

Roast ticket reservations will open on Tuesday, Nov. 1st at 8 PM.
