Anime Convention
Otakuthon est un événement qui célèbre un phénomène culturel des temps modernes : l'animation japonaise (anime) et les mangas. Depuis 2008, l'événement se déroule chaque été au Palais des congrès de Montréal.
Il s'agit du deuxième plus grand festival d'anime au Canada. Fier de ses origines québécoises, Otakuthon s'efforce d'être un festival entièrement bilingue (français et anglais) depuis ses débuts.
Depuis notre première édition, en 2006, Otakuthon a attiré des milliers de participant·e·s du Québec et d'ailleurs. Le festival a également accueilli des invité·e·s d'honneur d'envergure internationale, ainsi que des artistes et des exposant·e·s de partout dans le monde.
Otakuthon is an event that celebrates the cultural phenomenon known as anime (Japanese animation) and manga. Since 2008, the event has been held every summer at the Palais des congrès.
The convention remains the second-largest anime event in Canada. Proud of its Quebec origins, Otakuthon strives to be a fully bilingual convention (French and English) since its beginnings.
Since its first edition in 2006, Otakuthon has attracted thousands of participants from Quebec and abroad as well as high-profile guests, artists and exhibitors from all corners of the world.
