The Original GASLIGHT GATHERING, Southern California's first Steampunk and Victoriana convention, firmly believes there is plenty of interest and support in the Steampunk and Victoriana communities for more than one convention. It's not about the Captain and the crew. It's not about competition.
It's about providing passengers, guests, merchants and the crew an amazing adventure they won't soon forget!
GASLIGHT GATHERING encourages passengers to sail on as many cruises as they want. We expect merchants to vend at any and all events they can as it's their livelihood and we want to see them continue and grow. We love seeing guests entertaining at other events because it's their craft, their art and we want them to flourish. We want our crew to enjoy themselves because a happy crew makes it all possible.
GASLIGHT GATHERING's single most important goal is to provide a fun and entertaining weekend cruise that leaves our passengers, guests, merchants and crew hungry for more!
If we've accomplished that then we've done our job and all of the Steampunk and Victoriana communities benefit from it.
